In some industries, trade shows are a great source for generating new leads. But the task of ordering and coordinating branded materials for each show can eat up valuable time. Advertising to drive leads to the event adds another task on the to-do list. For University of Phoenix, with over 150 campuses across the U.S., educational events are a successful tool and Prisma’s dokshop software does the leg work.
University representatives visit their custom dokshop website via a link on their company intranet. There a rep can order static items, readily available for shipping from inventory. As an example, branded pens, giveaway items, tablecloths, sticky notes, and pull-up banner stand graphics are ordered on dokshop, pulled from inventory, and shipped the same day to the event location.
For some events, a rep might want to use personalized materials: a branded banner with event graphics, flyers to distribute from their booth, custom graphics to display on booth tables or backdrops. Those items can be personalized with event information, printed and shipped within 3-5 days.
And to drive traffic to the event, University of Phoenix reps use pre-approved brand templates to customize for each event on short notice. Each rep fills in custom fields on dokshop with event information: date, time, location, rep’s contact information. Posters, direct mail pieces and flyers are printed and shipped within 48 hours. Email blasts are customized and exported so that each rep can deploy within an email engine like MailChimp or Exact Target, or even blast directly from Outlook.
University of Phoenix relies on this streamlined solution to deploy events across the country. For some clients, leftover items are shipped back to Prisma following an event, barcoded and stored in inventory to be ordered through dokshop for the next event.
